The Master of Arts program is intended to provide students with research skills and experience, to develop greater depth of knowledge, and to enhance professional opportunities. M.A. students may choose either the thesis option or the non-thesis option. Thesis topics are limited to the fields of: United States, Latin America, Europe, Asia.
Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Archaeology
This doctoral program is offered in collaboration with the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and entails coursework in both History and Anthropology and working with faculty in both departments. The program includes comprehensive exams and completion of a dissertation based on original research.
