M.Ed. In Teacher Leadership with the Preliminary Single or Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
This program is designed to prepare students to become classroom teachers at the elementary or secondary level. Students can choose to enroll in the program to earn just their teaching credential, or to complete only 3 additional courses in order to earn a Master of Education degree. For students entering the program in th fall, we offer a full-time residency-based program, while those in need of a more flexible class schedule have the opporutnity to join the program in the spring and take advantage of online courses and evening on-campuses classes. California Lutheran University also offers just the M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership program for students who have already earned their California Preliminary Teaching Credential. This program provides students who want to challenge themselves with a deeper reflection on their own practice. The purpose of the program is to prepare teaching professionals to expand their knowledge and take on critical leadership roles that will contribute to school and student success. These programs prepare graduates for the increasingly demanding, yet rewarding, role as a teacher and a leader.
