The MA in Visual Culture is a unique multi-disciplinary theory based course established around the belief that visual literacy, and the impact of visual forms of thinking and working, now play a significant role in society. Drawing upon the cultural institutions and intellectual resources of central London, the MA balances theoretical accounts of visual culture with the application of these learned perspectives to visual representations in various contexts. For example: museum display, gallery curation, the material culture of the city, contemporary visual arts, new technologies and media.
