The programme is accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers and meets the further learning requirements to become a Chartered Civil Engineer.
The MSc Civil Engineering comprises two semesters of taught classes, followed by a research project carried out during the summer months.

Our extensive Civil Engineering and advanced computing facilities support our teaching and research activities. As an MSc student you will spend your time putting your theoretical knowledge into practice in our labs.
In addition to our conventional MSc Civil Engineering we offer two pathways:
MSc Civil Engineering with Industrial Placement – Inclusion of an 11 month funded work placement
MSc Civil Engineering with Conversion degree – For non-Civil Engineering graduates
