Sheffield has long-standing strengths in all areas of European prehistory - from the Lower Palaeolithic to the Iron Age, and from Britain to the Aegean and beyond into Eurasia. In the MA in European Prehistory, we draw on this depth of knowledge and breadth of experience to provide you with in-depth analyses of the key issues that dominate research on the ways in which human beings interacted with each other, and with the natural and the supernatural in prehistoric Europe. The programme will be of interest to all who want to deepen their understanding of the lives, beliefs and behaviour of these early Europeans – and will appeal especially to students who wish to create a strong platform for doctoral research in European prehistory.
