The MA Hospital Management is a full-time course over 12 months designed for graduates or health professionals with some experience of management roles in a hospital setting. The course is set primarily within the context of public health services, but it is also relevant for managers of NGOs, missions and private hospitals. For most low- to middle-income countries, hospitals represent the main concentrations of health resources, professional skills and medical equipment.
One of the key features of this programme is the opportunity to participate in a one-week field trip to Geneva, Switzerland. This includes workshops and meetings with World Health Organization staff, a visit to the United Nations and the Red Cross offices and various NGOs. The visit takes place in the University Easter vacation.
