MA in English Language and Linguistics
MA in Linguistics and Language Acquisition (with Modern Languages)
MA in the Linguistics of European Languages (with Modern Languages)
These three MA degrees provide a solid basis in the fundamentals of linguistic theory and the analysis of language, and - depending on the degree and the modules taken – additionally equip students with the knowledge and skills to carry out studies in language use, language variation and/or language acquisition. During 12-week semesters, the programme involves lectures, seminars, field work, talks by invited international specialists and individual meetings with staff. The summer is spent working with a supervisor on a 15,000 – 18,000-word dissertation.
International Student Requirements:
Applicants whose first language is not English are required to hold IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 600 (paper-based) or 250 (computer-based), or equivalent.
