This programme will be of interest if you have studied geography or a related social science subject at undergraduate level and are now looking for a more focused introduction to human geographical research. It is designed as a preparation for study at PhD level, as well as further training in a broad range of substantive geographical and environmental themes.
Core courses on: contemporary debates in human geography; research methods (quantitative and qualititative). 2 options in one of the following specialist areas: local economic development; gender and development; environmental regulation; urbanisation analysis of the impact of globalisation on cities and regions; urbanisation and development. Plus 10,000-word dissertation.
