The M.Sc. in Corporate Finance and Banking is designed at training top talent in the areas of Corporate Finance, Banking and Corporate Governance. The program seeks to develop a more comprehensive and rigorous understanding of these issues than in a traditional MBA or executive training courses by teaching best practice and how it should adapt as circumstances change. In particular, it offers more advanced valuation and hedging methods, and more focus on fundamental skills in the areas of financial intermediation and investment banking (e.g., credit analysis, governance assessment techniques). Case analysis will be integrated with a more analytical approach drawn from state-of-the-art corporate finance research highlighting moral hazard and incentive issues, aiming at deeper insight into contracting, regulatory and governance issues. Special attention will be given to evidence from empirical research.
The M.Sc. in Corporate Finance and Banking is accredited within the Master of International Finance at the University of Amsterdam.
