This programme starts in academic year 2014-2015.
The goal of the program is to educate engineers, specialized in the field of computer science. Within the program, the central key aspects are the acquisition of expert knowledge in one or more subdisciplines of computer science, a scientific approach towards modeling the real world, design and problem-solving, and the development of various intellectual skills that relate to the engineering profession.
An increased tuition fee of 6000 EUR is not applicable for students who come from countries belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA).
International Student Requirements:
Since this master programme is designed specifically for international students, the actual access policy will necessarily be based on previous program content, rather than specific degrees, as mentioned below (degrees awarded in Flanders):
Direct access:- Bachelor of Engineering: major computer science; - Bachelor of Engineering: minor computer science; - Bachelor of Science, Informatics; - Master of Industrial Science (with a strong IT component, after admission).
After a preporatory program, in agreement with the Program Director:- Bachelor of Engineering: other specializations (excl. architecture); - Master in Industrial Science (non-ICT specialization, after admission).
After a preporatory program (60 credit points):- Bachelor of Industrial Science (after admission)
