Master of Advanced Medicine in Interventional Cardiology
The program is intended for physicians who wish to develop specific expertise in cardiac imaging. This program provides one year's full-time study (or its part-time equivalent) comprising clinical education and training in one of the subspecialties of medicine, with an emphasis on workplace, competency-based assessment of performance. The eight-Unit programs generally comprise six clinical Units of Study, providing extensive clinical experience, together with two non-clinical Units which address ethics, law and professionalism, and teaching and research.
This is the only Australian medical school providing post-fellowship training in subspecialties of medicine, offering competency-based degree courses for qualified physicians. The educational techniques of the Australian School of Advanced Medicine allow scholars to develop their technical skills with optimum efficiency while developing other professional qualities, including a commitment to lifelong learning, research, teaching, ethics and professionalism.
