African Studies graduate programs focus on a wide range of issues relevant to Africa including African history, African culture, African literature, African religion and African languages native to the continent. Most programs explore the black population throughout the world, as well as the impact of African culture and heritage on the modern world. Graduates with a masters (MA) degree or PhD degree in African studies can become educators, historians, anthropologists, and more.
