The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice offers three graduate degree programs: Master of Public Health degree and a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Health Policy and Clinical Practice. The programs build upon a rigorous curriculum that provides a firm grounding in the skills required to measure, organize, and improve health and health care in the U.S. The MPH and MS programs can be completed in twelve months (July to June), full-time or over two to three years, part-time. Areas of focus include clinical research, shared decision making, health care improvement and health policy. The PhD program is designed for those pursuing a career involving major research or leadership roles in health policy and clinical practice. The PhD Program offers in-depth, multi-disciplinary training in the conduct of research and teaching in the areas of special expertise at the Institute.
