The University is situated opposite the beautifully landscaped Largo Central Park, which is home to the Largo Cultural Arts Center, the City Theater, and the new Largo Library, one of the best facilities in the county. Stores and restaurants are just a short walk away, while public transportation allows easy access to shopping malls, beaches and other attractions. Largo, on the gulf coast of west central Florida, lies on a peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay. It is the third largest city in Pinellas County, located just south of Clearwater and north of St. Petersburg. The abundance of water keeps the weather mild year-round, and Largo's residents are just a short drive from the famous gulf beaches: Indian Rocks, Sand Key, and Clearwater Beach. Schiller's Largo campus consists of modern buildings which reflect a Cape Cod seashore style reminiscent of the 19th century.
