The Master of Science in Epidemiology is designed for individuals who seek training in epidemiological research. It is anticipated that graduates will occupy positions as research administrators, program managers, analysts, and evaluators in universities, health departments, governmental agencies, and similar organizations. The MS program typically requires two years for completion. The first year is focused on core course work and completion of the qualifying examination. The second year is focused on remaining coursework and development of the master’s thesis research. The PhD in Epidemiology trains individuals for careers in research and teaching in academic settings, research institutes, government agencies and industry. It has been designed for students whose careers will focus on conducting investigator-initiated and collaborative epidemiologic research. The College also offers an MPH in Epidemiology
