Degrees: Program Format:
Master's
M.S. in Early Childhood Education within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction (assumes certification, or teaching experience); rolling admission; teaching assistantships, project assistantships available
Doctoral
Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction; assumes master's degree or virtually completed degree and/or 24-27 master's level credits from UW-Madison or another institution; rolling admission; for best chance at t.a., p.a. or fellowships, apply by January 1. Teaching assistantships, project assistantships, and several fellowships, including for those from "underrepresented" groups are available.Contact: Graduate Program Admissions or UW Madison web-site for department.
Certificate
Undergraduate early childhood-middle childhood teaching certification program; can also be taken as second certification program by those already with undergrad degrees; applications due early spring of each year, including required PPST.
