AUA does its utmost to prepare students to become licensed in the U.S. by preparing them to pass the USMLE step examinations as well as preparing students to become successful U.S. physicians. AUA graduates have been highly successful in securing U.S. residencies through the National Residency Match Program. AUA's programs are: • The only hospital-integrated medical school in the Caribbean • New York State Approved – 1/3 of all residency positions are in NY State • ECFMG listed • Affiliated with approximately 20 U.S. teaching hospitals • Small in class size – no more than 120 per class • modern campus using the latest equipment and facilities Kasturba Medical College International Center (KMCIC)–Affiliated with Kasturba Medical College (KMC) is AUA's twinning program's main campus is located in Manipal, India and is the only U.S. modeled medical school in India. Basic Science studies begin in Manipal (24 months), and like AUACOM, you will return to the U.S. to complete your clinical training. AUACOM is a recipient of U.S. Congressional approval, under the offices of the Mayo Clinic Medical Transport's Gold Gross Training Center. AUACOM has also been named as an international training site by the American Heart Association (AHA).     Accreditation Information: AUA is approved by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
