The Literacy for Special Needs program prepares working professionals to meet a complex array of learning needs through literacy and learning assessment and instructional planning to nurture lifelong reading development. Blending coursework in the areas of reading and special education, this part-time program is designed for educators who work with students with the greatest learning needs. Students who wish to enter the program must be experienced teachers who hold a Washington State Teaching Certificate. Classes are small (no more than 25) with nationally-recognized faculty. .
