Counseling Program graduates receive a Master of Science degree and are prepared to work as professional counselors in a variety of settings. Students who complete the School Counseling track, a 51 credit hour program, are eligible to be licensed to practice as school counselors in the state of Vermont. Students who graduate from the Mental Health track, a 60 credit hour program, are able to apply for licensure as mental health counselors after completing additional post-degree requirements. You may choose the Dual option, both school and mental health, that requires 69 credit hours.
