The School of Business offers a Master of Taxation Program that is designed to offer an opportunity for existing tax professionals to update and expand existing tax knowledge (professional track); and to prepare students for entry level positions in the field of taxation (academic track). The program includes a comprehensive study of tax laws and regulations, administrative practice and procedure, and tax research fundamentals. It is designed to develop both technical knowledge and conceptual understanding within the field of taxation. Ethical considerations are stressed within the framework of individual courses. All courses for the program are offered in the evening on the academic campus. Classes typically meet once a week for 2 hours and 40 minutes per evening. The student proceeds at his or her own pace through the program. As a result, the degree may be completed in as little as 12 months.
