Degrees: Program Format:
Master's
M.S.- Informatics in Medicine and Health;M.S.- Clinical Investigation and Patient Oriented Research;MPH - Generalist Research Track;MPH - Health Policy, Law, and Ethics
On Campus

There are two areas of specialization within the M.S. in Health Evaluation Science degree (Clinical Investigation and Health Care Informatics) and two areas of specialization within the MPH degree (Generalist Research and Health Policy, Law, and Ethics). Students complete a 31-credit curriculum for the M.S. and a 42-credit curriculum for the MPH. Both degrees include a final project, most commonly a publishable thesis or a practicum with a local health organization, but other options such as a grant proposal or project related to a student's current work (for those in mid-career) are also possible. The project must be defended before Department faculty. Core coursework is completed in the fall semester. The spring is devoted to specialized coursework in a student's chosen track and the completion of the thesis or project. While the M.S. curriculum may be completed in one school year, the MPH program requires three semesters (or summer school). Part-time options are available for both programs. Please contact the Program Coordinator for more information about either program.
