The program is intended for students who wish to pursue a clearly defined, interdisciplinary program rather than a specialization in a traditional discipline. The Master of Interdisciplinary Studies program offers students a variety of opportunities for interdisciplinary study, including, but not limited to, cooperative ventures with Virginia State University, interdisciplinary study in the arts and environmental studies.
