The School of Education offers a Master's in Adult Education and Human Resource Development designed to prepare individuals for a broad range of positions related to the development of adults. Graduates are found in major corporations, state and federal agencies, nonprofit organizations, community colleges and universities. The program consists of three clusters. Over one-third of the courses are taken at the student's election and customized to student interest. The elective courses can be taken in any school at the university. A variety of options are available, including a specific mix of courses desired by the student. Some of the specialization clusters are: human resource development, general adult education, health education services, information systems, correctional education, educational counseling, staff development, administrative and public systems, educational research and organizational evaluation, and adult literacy. The option of an externship is also available.
