By the end of the course, students should understand the issues involved in designing building services for low energy consumption and minimal environmental impact, and be able to make informed design decisions. A wide choice of elective topics is available to enable students to tailor their studies to the particular subjects which interest them, or which match their employment requirements. In addition to the requirements of the taught modules, a dissertation (for MSc) or project report (for PG Diploma) must be submitted, usually on a specialist subject of interest to the student.
