Master's
M.Sc.- Environmental Pollution Control Management
Certificate
Diploma - Environmental Pollution Control Management
On Campus

The course is offered with additional support from the Department of Biological Sciences and from the Rural Resource Management Department at the Scottish Agricultural College. It provides a practical education for graduates in science or engineering, taking a systems approach to pollution control design and management in the context of biological, engineering, environmental and socio-economic constraints. Teaching makes extensive use of case studies involving inter-disciplinary problem solving. Emphasis is on managerial skills which will support the technical decision making processes. The 12 month Master's degree course consists of nine modules and a dissertation. The intensive 30 hour modular system can cater for professional staff wishing to be released from their organisations. Project work for the dissertation should normally be completed within the final five months and can take place within a company's own premises. Applicants not holding a First or Second Class Honours Degree may be admitted to the nine month Diploma and on satisfactory performance transfer to the MSc.
