This interdisciplinary course introduces students to both the history and archaeology of the region. Training in palaeography, medieval Latin and computing is available, together with access to units concerned with historical theories. Taught units cover medieval archaeology; post-medieval landscape archaeology;medieval history; early modern social history. These units introduce students to a range of archival sources and approaches to the history of the towns, villages and region of East Anglia. The taught units lay the basis to the preparation of a 15,000 word dissertation based upon original research and conducted under thesupervision of a member of faculty.
