The Interdisciplinary option enables you to get your MBA your way. Choose this option if you want the utmost flexibility in designing a custom curriculum that fits your personal educational, career or professional needs. Under the Interdisciplinary option you will select five courses in addition to completing the Core Curriculum. It is your choice as to which courses you select. In your final term, you will select an Interdisciplinary Capstone course that integrates your previous coursework. The Interdisciplinary option is ideal for the more experienced manager or the management-oriented student needing broad-based knowledge of a variety of management topics. You choose courses from a variety of concentrations, giving you a broad, interdisciplinary educational experience designed to advance your unique educational, professional or career goals. The Interdisciplinary option also works well for students who want to develop more specific cross-discipline knowledge. In this case, you choose courses that combine two or more specializations that meet your personal, career or professional needs. The following are examples of possible curriculum customizations: Health Services Management and Marketing Management courses to create a health care marketing concentration. Global Business and Finance courses to specialize in international finance. Supply Chain Management and Market Logistics and Global Business classes to concentrate in international distribution. Information Assurance and Entrepreneurship courses to create an information assurance consulting concentration. A customized Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) concentration combining courses from Information Technology and Human Resource Management.
