Research training emphasizes molecular and biochemical studies on mechanisms of viral replication and virus-host interactions at the molecular and cellular levels. The Faculty has research, clinical, and teaching expertise with viruses that infect humans, vertebrate animals, insects, fungi, bacteria, and plants.
