The Intercollegiate Faculty of Virology (IFOV) at Texas A&M University provides a unique collective effort for comprehensive Ph.D. training in virology. Research training emphasizes molecular and biochemical studies on mechanisms of viral replication and virus-host interactions at the molecular and cellular levels. The Faculty has research, clinical, and teaching expertise with viruses that infect humans, vertebrate animals, insects, fungi, bacteria, and plants. The IFOV includes faculty from the Colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Science, and Veterinary Medicine, and the Health Science Center.
