Within special education, distinct programs are offered in bilingual special education, special education consultation, generic special education, educational diagnostician and low incidence disabilities. M.S. degrees are offered in human learning and development, gifted and talented education, research, measurement and statistics, and career development education. A M.S. degree is also offered in the pre-doctoral training program in counseling. Ph.D. programs in the department are offered in educational psychology, counseling psychology, and school psychology. The programs in counseling and school psychology are accredited by the American Psychological Association.
