Such analysis of educational policies, organization, content, and practices is grounded in selected disciplines of the social sciences and humanities (e.g., anthropology, economics, history, philosophy, political science, sociology). Interpretive, normative, and critical perspectives are drawn on in studying educational and related social phenomena. Such perspectives promote analyses of the meaning and the influence of different value orientations.
