The purpose of the Reading SupervisorÆs Program is to prepare the holder of Level II Instructional Certification for a supervisory capacity in the specialized area of Reading.The role of the Reading Supervisor in the public school is to design an evaluation program to assess the reading needs of a given school district (K-12), develop a program to improve instruction in reading that is consistent with the educational philosophy of that district, and propose and explore steps for implementation of the program and evaluation of its progress.
