We support two concentrations in the MA program: (1)Politics and American government and (2) International Relations and Comparative Government. Students are required to take one course: PSC 7000 Research Concepts and Approaches. The MA requires 30 credits, which can be earned either by completing 10 courses, or by completing 8 courses and writing a 6 credit thesis. Those students who complete 10 courses must also write a comprehensive paper in which they use their 10 courses to support an argument defending their understanding of the nature of politics.
