Carnegie Mellon's Human-Computer Interaction graduate programs provide unique opportunities for multidisciplinary work in the areas of computer science, design and human factors. The Masters degree program is a one-year professional program involving coursework in the above three areas and an eight-month project working in multidisciplinary teams for an external sponsor; Ph.D. students specialize in one of these three areas, completing coursework, teaching and research requirements.
