Most students pursue the Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) degree, a 10-course, 10-month program. There are two doctoral degrees as well. The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree is the professional practitioner's degree, offering advanced professional study for those pursuing senior-level positions in higher education administration or higher education consulting. This degree is offered in a traditional semester format as well as an advanced and accelerated executive format. The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree is limited to two or three new students a year--individuals who wish to become faculty and researchers in the field of higher education administration.
