The Applied Statistics Program offers a course of study which focuses on the training of statisticians for industry,government, and academia. For most students, this may represent their final graduate statistics degree, a valuable part of their education, offering them greater potential for professional advancement. For students interested in academia, this degree will be a steppingstone toward their Ph.D. The program's flexibility permits students to take courses in areas related to applied statistics such such as computer sciences, pure mathematics, and applied mathematics.
