As a leader in early career MBA education, Willamette’s Full-time MBA is designed to prepare students for their first professional position or career change in business, government or not-for-profit management. In just 21 months, students learn the core principles of management; build a strong foundation in the political, regulatory and fiscal issues of the public sector; refine their career interests; develop an in-depth understanding of one or more curricular areas of interest; and build the portfolio needed to succeed in a competitive job market. The learning experience is built on a proven model that emphasizes excellent teaching and learning by doing. Internships, class consulting projects, in-depth case studies, the Student Investment Fund, the PACE program (where teams of students serve as consultants for non-profit organizations), opportunities to work with the Willamette University Public Policy Research Center, and a complete program of career services offer powerful opportunities for professional development. Curricular areas of interest include: Accounting Finance General Management Human Resources Information Systems International Management Joint Degree in Management and Law (MBA/JD) Marketing Organizational Analysis Public Management Quantitative Analysis/Management Science The distinct design of Willamette’s Full-time MBA makes it an excellent choice for students seeking an MBA directly after completion of their bachelor degree or after one or more years of work experience. The average student has zero to three years of work experience. 40% percent of the students are women, 60% are men. 31% are international students, and 16% are members of U.S. multicultural groups. Undergraduate majors include business, social science, liberal arts, economics, engineering, math, and science.
