The focus for study and research is art: how it is most richly learned and most effectively taught. It is a subject-centered focus that involves 4 dimensions of engagement with art: art creation, art criticism, art history, and aesthetics (Theory about art, beauty, and the aesthetic). Study is supported by concepts from the humanities and social sciences.
