One of a few such programs in the nation, the new C.A.S.E. program, Concentration in Autism in Special Education, is a thirty credit Master's Degree program that leads to an M.S.Ed. in Special Education with a concentration in Autism and to N.Y.S. certification in Students with Disabilities. Teaching students with special needs can be a particularly rewarding and challenging career path. The C.A.S.E. program has been designed for those already holding teacher certification and will provide the requisite course work for educators to work in teams with psychologists, social workers and families to respond to the unique needs of autistic students.
