Bank Street's Special Education programs prepare prospective and current teachers with the broad preparation they need to work with the wide range of learners who may be in today's general, inclusive, or special education settings. Programs with a Bilingual Extension are also offered, as are programs that combine Special Education with a Master's of Social Work degree. Programs lead to certification in Teaching Students with Disabilities; students choose from Early Childhood (birth - grade 2); Childhood (grades 1-6); or Middle School (grades 5-9). Dual certification programs in general and special education are also available at each age level.
