M.S. in Public Relations and Corporate Communications NYU’s Master of Science in Public Relations and Corporate Communications gives communications professionals an important, differentiating credential in the competitive PR landscape. The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS), working in conjunction with senior executives from companies including Burson-Marsteller, General Electric, Nielsen Media Research, New York Life Insurance, and Pfizer, Inc., has crafted the curriculum for its graduate program to address the growing need for skilled professionals while adhering to NYU's high standards of academic discovery. The quality of our faculty, all of whom are leading scholars and practitioners in the PR and corporate communications field, and the talent of our student body, are unsurpassed. Students combine theoretical learning with real-world experiences as they master skills in research, strategic planning, written and oral communication, execution, and evaluation in New York City PR and corporate communications environments. Through a practicum, research experiences, and a Capstone Project, you learn from industry pros and enhance your knowledge in the world's most vigorous and challenging public relations marketplace. Through the practicum, NYU's carefully maintained relationships within the industry provide a living laboratory that adds to your graduate experience, while helping you to build extraordinary professional relationships. Ultimately, you and your classmates will become the next generation of professionals from which today’s leading organizations will choose their spokespeople and strategists. Whether you are interested in corporate communications for a large company, international PR, healthcare PR, entertainment and sports PR, or PR for nonprofits, the M.S. in Public Relations and Corporate Communications gives you the critical advantage to help you achieve your goals.
