To be successful in business, managing people and your organization effectively is essential. NYU Stern's Executive MBA program delivers a general management curriculum, infused with a global approach to business. Our rigorous curriculum is designed specifically for experienced executives--the average work experience of our students is 14 years. It delves into the complex business issues that seasoned manager’s face. Our program facilitates team-based learning by having students take all of their classes with a cohort of peers from diverse backgrounds, functions and industries. They benefit from the collective work experience of their classmates and are able to apply immediately what they learn in the classroom to their work. The Executive MBA Program faculty is handpicked for their expertise in teaching experienced professionals. They incorporate their own research and experiences working directly with the international business community into the curriculum, offering a stimulating and relevant class experience. Students can start the program in August or January. Classes meet Friday and Saturday, every other week, providing concentrated learning sessions spaced two weeks apart, helping executives balance demanding careers, travel and personal lives. Student study groups are designed to foster collaboration and support to enhance learning while reinforcing the teamwork skills that are necessary in business. We formulate groups of four to six students, complementing skills and backgrounds. Groups meet in person and virtually. NYU Stern's Executive MBA Program offers students the opportunity to pursue two specializations, one in Finance and one in Leadership. To complete a specialization, a student selects nine credits of elective courses approved for the specialization, and the specialization is reflected on the student's transcript.
