The NMSU Astronomy Department is a research and education oriented department with 11 faculty, 7 postdoctoral fellows, and 25 graduate students. We are a member of the Astrophysical Research Consortium, which operates a 3.5 meter telescope at Apache Point Observatory (APO) in nearby Sunspot, New Mexico.
