The program is designed for nurses who wish to balance graduate education with career, family and personal responsibilities. All nurse practitioner graduates are eligible to apply for advanced-practice certification. Specialty tracks within the program are Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. The online M.S.N. Nurse Practitioner program allows students to complete the didactic portion of the program online via Internet based technology and fulfill the required clinical practice component within their geographical locations. Throughout the program students receive technical support, access to extensive library resources and personalized consultation with faculty.The program requires three on campus weekend residency visits which provides students with opportunities to meet face-to-face with professors, peers, and program administrators.
