Students are accepted from corporate, government, nonprofit, and educational environments. The program emphasizes a theoretical base for curriculum design and exposure to a broad array of the most current instructional methods and materials. Seton Hall University is a recognized leader in the use of technology for teaching and learning. The IDAT program at SHU is interdisciplinary, allowing acquisition of knowledge in a wide range of subjects. The state of New Jersey offers no certification or endorsement for computing teachers.
