Ph.D. - Interdisciplinary Biomedical Science
On Campus

The IBMS program is a first year graduate program leading to a Ph.D. degree in one of 11 programs. IBMS students take course work and rotate in laboratories throughout departments of the School of Medicine and the Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences. IBMS students also participate in professional development activities in the IBMS seminar and in campus-wide programs. After one year in the IBMS Program, students choose a lab and select a graduate program. However, IBMS students also maintain their affiliation with the IBMS program, and participate in scientific, social and professional development activities as a group throughout their graduate career.
