Proficiency is acquired in permitting, planning, development, operation, reclamation, and closure of mines while applying technical skills acquired through this program. Our objective is to provide a quality education that blends theory and practice to produce a mining engineer who can pursue a successful career and is prepared to meet the vigorous demands of natural resource development throughout the world. Deficiency courses may be suggested to supplement the student's academic understanding of engineering principles, particularly as they apply to Mining Engineering.  Pre-Requisite Courses International Student Requirements International students are required to submit TOEFL scores of at least 71 iBT, 195 CBT, or 525 PBT or IELTS of 6.0. An International Statement of Financial Support must show at least $23,000 USD. It is the responsibility of the applicant to have foreign transcripts evaluated on a course-by-course basis by Educational Credentials Evaluators, Inc (ECE) to determine Grade Point Average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale. The equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor's degree must also have been achieved.
