The Program in Plant Biology is one of eleven interdepartmental programs leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy within the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences. The program encompasses activity in all areas of plant biology, with particular strength in the areas of genetics, development, cell biology, physiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology. Research and educational opportunities also exist in conjunction with partner institutions in St. Louis, including the Missouri Botanical Plant Garden, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, and the Monsanto Company.
