One is the problem of understanding how persons and organizations are related. The secondconcerns how social and behavioral science can be made useful. In modern societies, people are embeddedin organizational and group affiliations of many kinds, and the study if such environments can contribute muchto the explanation of human behavior. Similarly, the effectiveness of formal and informal organizations can beunderstood, in part, in terms of individual and interpersonal psychological processes.
