The Frankel Center for Judaic Studies offers a broad and balanced exposure to Judaic Studies while allowing students to concentrate on one of the following areas: Modern Jewish Literatures & Cultures; History & Politics; Rabbinics & Religious Thought; Hebrew Studies; and Yiddish Studies. All students are required to demonstrate second semester proficiency in Hebrew or Yiddish and, upon graduation, fourth semester proficiency. A total of 30 credits is required for the MA along with either a thesis or substantial seminar paper.
