To obtain a masters degree in journalism, students must master basic research skills and concepts and also choose from a wide range of electives both within the J-School and throughout the university. The program emphasizes journalism while allowing students with a particular interest to pursue courses in another field.
The interdepartmental Mass Media Ph.D. Program is offered jointly by the Department of Advertising, the School of Journalism, and the Department of Telecommunication. The program prepares students to become active scholars, teachers and/or leaders in the communication industry.
